Letter by the Holy Rav the Or Yisroel of Sadigura to his in-law the Holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak Meir of Kopitshnitz, about their son – son-in-law the holy Rav the Abir Yaakov, with many blessings for Naches and all the best.

In the letter, the holy Rav the Or Yisroel thanks his in-law for sending the money, a gift to the dear bridegroom: ‘בני יקירי נטע שעשועים החתן הנחמד שליט"א’, ולאחר מכן מברך הרה"ק מסאדיגורה בברכות פיו הטהור: ויהי נועם ד’ ויפרוס סוכת שלומו עלינו להתענג ברב שלומים לנצח ואך טוב וחסד ישמע באהליכם סלה’.

Later in the letter, he sends money, gift to his daughter, the bride to be and in the following lines writes: ואני תפילה כי ד’ ברחמיו יאר פניו איתנו סלה ונזכה לגדל ולנשא את כל יוצאי חלצינו ברב תענוג ונחת ולהובילם לכלולת אפריון בשובע שמחות ומאושרים בחחי עונג ונחת כנפש מחות’ הדו"ש באהבה מחכה לבשר ולהתבשר בשורות טובות סלה.

Then appears the handwritten signature of the Or Yisroel of Sadigura ‘ישראל במוהר"ר אברהם יעקב‘.

The holy Rav the Or Yisroel of Sadigura [1852-1907] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov (the first) of Sadigura, the son and successor of Ateret Tiferet Yisroel of Ruzhin. The Or Yisroel was the Rav of Ruzhin’s first grandson and was named after him. Eventually, he succeeded him as Rav in Sadigura.

[1] lined leaf. Handwritten by a scribe and signed by the holy Rav the Or Yisroel. Clear, strong ink. Fold lines. Small perforations along the fold lines. Very good condition.
