Responsum handwritten by the holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet Av Beis Din of Tashnad – written to his father the holy Gaon, the author of the Mareh Yechezkel – the responsum was printed in his book Derech Yivchar – Tshnad, 1840 – four pages
This responsum was printed after the author’s passing in his book Derech Yivachr (Munkatch, 1893), Sha’ar hatshuvah, Siman 67.
The holy gaon Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet (1803-1874), Av Beis Din of Tashnad, the eldest son of the Mareh Yehezkel Av Beis Din of Karlsburg and one of the most beloved students of the Chasam Sofer. In 1823, when he was twenty, he became the Rav of Balkan and already at this young age, the Yismach Moshe wrote of him: "The sharp and wonderfully knowledgeable great Rav". In 1833 he was appointed Rav of Tshnad, where he served for forty years until his passing in 1874. From his writing, the following books were published after his passing: Derech Yivchar, yam harachav on tractate Chulin, Yam Hanirchav on tractate Gittin and more.
