Wonderful Segulah, most pedigreed copy! Sefer Bat Ayin by the holy Rav of Avritsh. First edition of the second version of the book. Printed by the Shapiro brothers, the grandsons of the Rav of Slavuta. Zhytomyr, 1850.
Pedigreed copy from the library of the holy Rav the Abir Yaakov of Sadigura, one of the greatest Tzaddikim of his generation.
This copy contains the five rare leaves of responsa, which do not appear in most copies.
It is a wonderful Segulah to own the Bat Ayin book and study from it. In another edition that was printed in Zhytomyr, the holy Tzaddikim of Cherkas and of Chernobyl bless anyone who purchases the book with wealth and offspring.
The book Bat Ayin was printed for the first time in Jerusalem in 1847 from a manuscript of a another disciple, the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yisroel of Poltoshen. In those years, the important printery of the pious brotehrs Rabbi Chanina Lipa, Rabbi Aryeh Leib and Rabbi Yehoshua Heschil Shapiro, the grandsons of the Rav of Slavuta, was also laboring to print the book. The Zhytomyr printery, however, was printing the book from a manuscript of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Meshulam Sussman who received his Semicha from the Bat Ayin himself. The Zhytomyr printery was unaware of the printing of the second manuscript in Jerusalem. This copy is thus the first edition of the second manuscript of the Bat Ayin, which was printed in Zhytomyr in 1850.
The holy Rav the Bat Ayin was one of the Tzaddikim of his generation [1765-1841] studied with the holy Gaon of Anapole and the holy Gaon of Berditchev. Immigrated to Safed in 1833 and was famed for protecting his Beis Midrash during the terrible earthquake. His gravesite is known as a Segulah for salvation and mercy.
