‘For the New Year, the sevent year, the Shemitah’ Letter with blessings for the New Year, hand-signed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe and with an addition of important words handwritten by him.
The letter was sent to Rabbi Chaim Dov Rabinowitz of Cleveland and it contains the special blessing of the Lubavitcher Rebbe: ‘לקראת השנה החדשה שנת השבע שנת השמיטה, הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולכל אשר לו ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות – בכבוד ובברכה’.
The Rebbe added the word ‘בכבוד’ and the ו’ החיבור before the word ‘בברכה’. At the beginning of the letter, he corrected the address from Cleveland to Israel.
