‘ושיתמשך שמחות וישועות לכלל ישראל במהרה’ ! Letter of love and affection sent by Maran Rabbi Aharon of Belz to the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura the author of the Abir Yaakov, for the marriage of the daughter of his brother-in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua of Kopitshnitz, with an addition of lines handwritten by him and his full signature. Tel Aviv.

An addition of words handwritten by Maran the holy Rav of Belz: דברי שאר בשרו ומחותנו הדוש"ת ומברכו בכל טוב, ומצפה שנזכה כלנו לגאולה שלמה במהרה בימינו and his full handwritten signature הק’ אהרן רוקח מבעלזא.

A letter of blessing for a marriage by the Rebbe of Belz, with the rare and special words of blessing ‘שנזכה כלנו לגאולה שלמה במהרה בימינו’.

Letters by the holy Rav of Belz are extremely rare. On the few that do exist, his handwritten signature appears; however, letters on which he himself added some words are truly scarce. This is a letter with two entire lines handwritten by him, with blessings and the speical and rare blessing ‘שנזכה כלנו לגאולה שלמה במהרה בימינו’.

The letter that was sent for the marriage of the pious Rebbetzin, the daughter of the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschil of Kopitshnitz, begins with the words: ברכת מזל טוב מציון וירושלים תובב"א לכבוד מחו’ הרב הצדיק המפורסם שלשילתא דיחוסא חו"פ וכו’ כש"ת מוה"ר אברהם יעקב פרידמן שליט"א מסדיגורה בתל אביב.

אחדשה"ט באה"ר [=אחר דרישת שלומו הטוב באהבה רבה]

מכתבו המבשר ואומר כי ת"ל [=תהילה לקל] הגיע לכלולת בת גיסו מחו’ הרה"צ המפורסם מקופטשיניץ שליט"א לנכון הגיעני.

והנני מברך אתכם ואת הזוג שיחי’ בברכת מזל טוב ויה"ר שיהי’ בשטומ"צ וזווגם יעלה יפה ותראו מהם דור ישרים יבורך ושיתמשך שמחות וישועות לכלל ישראל במהרה.

The Rebbe then adds: הנני שולח דורן דרשה לירה אחת.

And ends the letter with the words: מאת מחו’ המצפה לישועה ולהרמת קרן ישראל במהרה והנני מברכם בחג כשר ושמח –

and here appear the holy words handwritten by Rabbi Aharon of Belz himself.

Comments on what was written:

The special expression ‘מחותני’ (my in-law) appears 4 times in the letter, once handwritten by the Rebbe of Belz. Apparently, he is referring to the marriage of the son of the holy Rav the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz, the holy Rav the Makor Baruch of Seret Vizhnitz who married the daughter of Maran the Maharid of Belz. The brother of the Makor Baruch was the holy Rav the Damesek Eliezer of Vizhnitz, who married the sister-in-law of the Tzaddikim of Kopitshnitz and Sadigura, the daughter of the holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak Meir of Kopitshnitz.

Thus, the brother-in-law of the Tzaddikim of Kopitshnitz and Sadigura, the Damesek Eliezer, was the brother of the brother-in-law of the Rebbe of Belz.

The Geulah Shlemah blessing, ‘שנזכה כלנו לגאולה שלמה במהרה בימינו’, which the Rebbe of Belz handwrote himself is also extremely rare. Possibly, it was written due to the terrible situation after the Holocaust, the escape of the Rebbe of Belz to the Holy Land and the days of darkness and events here in Eretz Yisroel.
