It should be noted that this copy differs from other copies of this edition: This copy refers to the two editors only in the German version; the Hebrew version, on the other hand, refers only to Yitzchak Singer as the editor. Inside the book, he writes a foreword titled Vayikrah Yitzchak. In the copies of the National Library, the Lubavitch Library and the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, however, the Hebrew version of the title page also refers to the two editors and the foreword there was written by Rabbi Eliezer Rosenfeld, titled Siach Eliezer. Enclosed there are also approbations Rabbi Eliezer Rosenfeld received when he was about to publish the book.
The renowned Gaon Rav Asher Anshil Weiss (1882-1944) ben Rabbi Moshe Shlomo, a disciple of the Arugas HaBosem and the Sheves Sofer. Served as Av Beis Din of the Siladi-Nadipalo community in Transylvania. Was fluent in both Talmudim, the Bavli and Yerushalmi, and in the four parts of the Shulchan Aruch. In his youth, served as Ram in Ohl. His innovations from his old age were lost during the Holocaust. Remnants of his innovations were published in the Seforim "Shemen LaMincha al Sugyos HaShas" (1969) and "Shemen LaMincha – Srudei Drush VeRemazim al HaTorah" (1989). Perish in Sivan 1944 in Auschwitz.
