"Please give this prayer to a man who can go on Lag BaOmer to the gravesite of the Divine Rashbi … and say it there …" a prayer by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Klein to be said at the gravesite of Rashbi. Nyíregyháza, [1935].
Postcard, written on both its sides, black and red ink, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Menachem (Emanuel) ben Rabbi Sheraga Yehuda [Klein]. The rhymed prayer was written according to the Hebrew acrostic of Rabbi Shimin Bar Yochai. The writer’s name and details are printed on the postcard.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Klein of Nyíregyháza (1872-1940) the son of Rabbi Sheraga Yehuda Klein, the son-in-law of the Tzaddik Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Litsh Segal [Rosenbaum] Av Beis Din of Pressburg. Rabbi Menachem Mendel authored the book Malah HaAretz which contained Gematria for all year round (Budapest, 1937) and was one of the eulogizers of hi in-law, the Tzaddik Rabbi Moshe Katz Av Beis Din of Nietra.
Some minor stains. Some wear to the paper due to the ripping off the postage stamp. Good condition.
