Letter sent by Rabbi Dov Ber Klein on behalf of His Father Rabbi Yaakov Sholom Klein of Halmin to the Gaon Rabbi David Davidovich.
In his letter, he confirms, on behalf of his father, the receipt of money for the yeshiva and expresses his gratitude. Later, in the short letter, he asks whether Rabbi Davidovich received the rabbinic position he sought.
Rabbi Yaakov Sholom Klein Av Beis Din of Halmin and the vicinity [1877-1944] one of the important rabbis of Hungary and Transylvania. The son of the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Av Beis Din of Halmin and son-in-law of the Gaon Rabbi Fuchs of Grosswardein. Served as Dayan in Grosswardein until 1928, when he returned to Halmin to succeed his father as Av Beis Din and Ram.
In Tevet 1937, during a conference of the representatives of the orthodox communities of Transylvania in Klausenburg, he was chosen with four other participants for the presidency yet resigned from the Committee of Five to be replaced by the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel of Satmar.
