Shut Mahar de Trani, by Rabbi Yosef di Trani. The press of Yosef Petshvia and his son Mendel Ber, Furth, [1768]. Second edition. With stamps of Rabbi Shimon ben Rabbi Akiva Yus Schlesinger. 

[1], 200 [i.e. 110] leaves. Bound at the end of other copies of this book are [64] leaves of Chidushei Maharit on tractates Kiddushin and Ketubot, which do not appear in this copy. On the title page, stamps of Rabbi Shimon, the Gaon son of the Gaon Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger author of Lev HaIvri. 

Rabbi Shimon Moshe Shmuel Schlesinger (1882-1968) the son, disciple and right-hand man of the Gaon Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger, the author of Lev HaIvri. One of Yoshvei Kotel Hamizrach of the Chassidic synagogue of Batei Ungarin. Knowledgeable of Nigleh and Nistar who was famed for his charity and Dikdukei Nitzvos. In 1922, founded the Nechamas Yerushalayim Beis Midrash in Newark. 

Semi-leather binding. A restored blemish to the corner of the title page, affecting the text on its verso. Stains. Moth holes. Without Chidushei Maharit. fair-good condition.
