The author writes in his introduction to the book that he had sent its manuscript [to Rabbi Yosef ben David of Heilborn] to receive his opinion. Its content was subsequently stolen and published in the book Mevin Chidot (Amsterdam 1765 edition). The accusation entailed a denial by Rabbi Yosef, who published the books Merivat Kodesh and Prodogma Chadasha, blaming Rabbi Asher Anshil for spreading false accusations and pledging he had never seen the manuscript.
[4], 44, [2] leaves. 8 pp. With an additional Latin title page and foreword. With the leaf of approbations which is missing from some of the copies. With owner’s signatures on the title page including of Shimon Wolf Rosenfeld [1783-1862, Av Beis Din of Bamberg].
