Bound with [section II] of Seder Tfilat Nehora Hashalem, with many comments handwritten by Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Chazan.
[15], 15, 17-70, 72-207, 209-254; 143 leaves. The book at the beginning of the volume has two title pages. On the first title page: "Seder Or Tzaddikim VeOr Yesharim". On the second title page: "Seder Or Layesharim". The book at the end of the volume has no special title page. Mispagination. With the stamps and signatures of Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Chazan and with his handwritten comments. Some of the comments were cut at the edges of the lines. This edition of Or Layesharim is not listed in the Bibliography of the Hebrw Book or in the catalog of the National Library.
Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Chazan of Luvitch (1824-1928) the son of Rabbi Zvi of Plock. Was the Meshamesh of Rabbi Michael Dov the author of Agudat Ezov Hamidbari. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and lived in Tel Aviv. Author of the Si’ach Yitzchak – Minchat Shabbat books (Piotrkow, 1907-1912) and Si’ach Yitzchak – Minchat Purim (Poltova, 1913-1914). Published articles with innovations and letters in religious journals and authored additional books that were not published. Was an expert on versions of prayers and Piyyutim.
Simple, worn binding. A few leaves are missing. Some leaves are blemished and torn, affecting the text. Some leaves are detached. Stains. Poor-fair condition.
