Rabbi Aryeh Leib ben Rabbi Shmuel Kalmer Frumkin (1845-1916) – Rav and educator, writer and scholar of the history of the Land of Israel, Av Beis Din and Darshan of the Aleksotas community of Lithuania. One of the founders of Petach Tikvah who built the first house of the Moshava, founded and managed its school and a large farm. Later he moved to England, where he was a Maggid Meisharim at the Etz Chaim yeshiva and Ein Yaakov synagogue. He re-immigrated to Petach Tikvah in 1911.
Dismantled front board. The title page and first leaf of Midrash Mishlei Rabbata are detached. The title page of the eulogy is missing. Stains. Fair-good condition.
