Letter for Passover by Rabbi Meir Zvi Dushinaky, eventually Av Beis Din of Tyrnau, to his Rav, Rabbi Shmuel Hacohen Greenberg, one of the leaders of the Beis Midrash for rabbis of Berlin. 1932
In his letter, which was written on a postcard, he addressed the terrible situation in Berlin, where Rabbi Greenberg lived. Rabbi Dushinsky prays and begs ‘to rescue and pity the Tzon Kedoshim scattered among ravenous wolves’ and adds blessings for complete redemption on Passover and these days of Nissan.
The Gaon Rabbi Meir Zvi Dushinsky, the son of the Gaon Rabbi Michael Dushinsky Av Beis Din of Rakushpolta, succeeded his father-in-law, the Gaon Rabbi Meir Stein, as Av Beis Din of Tyrnau.
Rabbi Dr. Shmuel Greenberg, one of the leaders of the Beis Midrash for rabbis of Berlin immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and became one of the leaders of worldwide HaMizrachi and the chairman of the religious council of Tel Aviv.
