Letter about a shipment of Ma’ot Chitin by Rabbi Shmuel Nosson Bukantz Av Beis Din of Helsingfors (Helsinki), Finland, to the great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant , the Rav of Jerusalem. 1898. 


In the letter, he notes the many requests for donations he receives, from the Misgav Ladach hospital, the Etz Chaim Talmud Torah and Yeshiva and additional institutions of Jerusalem. He asks the great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant to confirm the agreement that was made between the institutions and the Gaon Rabbi Yehoshua Yehuda Leib Diskin, the Saraf of Brisk. 

Rabbi Shmuel Nosson Bukantz [1867-1938] studied at the Slabodka yeshiva and received his Semicha in 1884 from his Rav and teacher Rabbi Yitzchak Elchonon. Corresponded with the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Halevi of Brisk, the Aderet and Rabbi Shmuel Salant. Served as Av Beis Din of Helsingfors (Helsinki), Finland, until his immigration to Eretz Yisroel in 1928.
