Passover Haggadah, with the Derech Chaim commentary [=Dinim from the Derech Chaim Siddur] and Nehora Hashalem. Published by the rabbis [Nosson] Naftali Baruch and Aviezer Burstein, Va’ad Hahatzalah, Munich, 1947. With a signed dedication by Rabbi Nosson Baruch.
[2], 250-268 leaves. Otzar Hahaggadot 4052. With a personal dedication by the representative of Va’ad HaHatzala, Rabbi Nosson Baruch, to the family of William Halpert.
Rabbi Nosson [Naftali] Baruch – was one of the founders of Va’ad HaHatzala (Rescue Committee) at the DP camps in Germany on behalf of the Union of Rabbis of the USA and Canada, which
worked to rehabilitate Holocaust survivors. In 1948, a report on the committee led by him was published in the book Pictorial Review, Vaad Hatzala, Germany. Rabbi Nosson Baruch and Rabbi Aviezer Borstein tried, unsuccessfully, to obtain the support of the USA army for printing religious books and prayer books for the DPs. Therefore, they exploited business opportunities to buy ink and paper and print Siddurim, Haggadot and religious textbooks in local printeries for Holocaust survivors.
