Anonymous political letter about the management of Kollel Galicia that was sent to the president of the Kollel, the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Leib Sofer, author of Sofer Mahir, the son the Ketav Sofer – Krakow, 1892 – the letter cites criticism by "the holy Admor of Shinova" directed at the management of Kollel Galicia, which the writer heard from him.
The letter contains criticism about the president of the Kollel, the philanthropist and Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Leb Sofer, who manages the Kollel without consulting with two other people, as the halacha requires from the management of a charity. In the letter, the anonymous writer describes in detail his visit to the Admor the holy Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Halberstam of Shinova and what he said about the management of the Kollel: "… איך יטה מדין מפורש בש"ע צדקה מתחלקת בשלשה, ובפרט בנידון זה שהוא דיני נפשות… ". At the end of his letter, the writer suggests involving Rabbi Simcha Ben [of Tzishinev], the son of the holy Rav of Shinova and son-in-law of the Admor the holy Rav [Rabbi Yehoshua] of Belz in the matter.
The letter is not signed.
