Lengthy letter sent by the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyomin Sofer author of the Chashav Sofer of Pressburg to Rabbi Tzadok Krois, referring to his father the holy Gaon author of the Da’as Sofer of Pressburg. 1936. 


The letter was written on the stationery of the VILLA LAZZAR sanitorium and was sent to Rabbi Tzadok Krois who was the Gabai of Kollel Shomrei Hachomot of Jerusalem. Rabbi Shmuel Binyomin Sofer notes that hi sholy father was about to return to his home and he hopes he will become stronger and the rest will help him recover. 

The letter was sent in 1936, during the time Rabbi Akiva Sofer became weak and visited the sanitarium in Switzerland. 


The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyomin Sofer author of the Chashav Sofer [1902-1962] the son and successor of Maran the great Gaon Rabbi Akiva Sofer the son of the famed holy Gaon the Sheves Sofer the son of the holy Gaon the Ksav Sofer the son and successor of Maran the Chasam Sofer. The Chashav Sofer established the Pressburg Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel. He succeeded his father as Rosh Yeshiva, as Rav of Pressburg and was also a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and the president of Kollel Shomrei HaChomos. Passed away several years after his father’s passing.
