Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, section II, Lemberg 1865 – the copy of the Gaon the Tzaddik Rabbi Aharon Ackerman Av Beit Din of Otshakov (Ochakiv) and Jassy (Iași), a close associate of Tiferet Yisroel of Ruzhin and his son the Admor Hazaken of Sadigura and one of their Ma’atikei Hashmu’ah – with his signatures and dozens of glosses handwritten by him. 

Appearing on the two title pages are the signatures of Rabbi Aharon:  "אהרן ב"ר מאיר ז"ל פה יאס יע"א"; "אהרן ב"ר מאיר ז"ל חופ"ק אטשאקב יע"א". On leaf 2a, an additional signature: "אהרן ב"ר מאיר ז"ל … כעת מו"צ ביאס". An additional signature by him on leaf 1a of the scond pagination. 

The Gaon and Chassid Rabbi Aharon son of Rabbi Meir Ackerman, a leading disicple of Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin and his son Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura. Served as the Rav of Jassy (Iași), Romania for many years, and later served as Av Beis Din of Otshakov (Ochakiv). In his elderly years, he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and was Rosh Av Beis Din of the Chassidic community of Jerusalem. Was one of the leading Ma’atikei Hashmu’ah of his holy rabbis, including what he wrote in his book Beit Aharon on Pirkei Avot (Warsaw, 1880) and the Passover Haggadah (Warsaw, 1889). 

An additional signature in the book: "השו"ב ה’ שלום ודעי הלוי".
