Four pages with Divrei Torah and halachic innovations handwritten by the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Stefanest (Ștefănești), Botushan-Itzikan. Not dated. Early 1930s.
The letter which was handwritten (yet not signed) by him was sent to the great Gaon Rabbi Nachum Shemraya Shechter Av Beis Din of Dorban, discusses the issue of autopsies, with many references to the Gemore and Shut books, demonstrating his vast knowledge of the Bible and both Talmudim.
On the upper part of the leaves, his personal stamp ‘Menachem Nachum Friedman Stefanest’.
The holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Itzikan – Stefanest [1879-1933], author of important books. Succeeded his uncle and Rav Rabbi Avraham Matisyahu of Stefanest, yet passed away young in his father’s and uncle’s lifetime. Was the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Tshortkov.
[2] leaves, a total of [4] pp. In his fine orderly script. No signature. His stamp on the upper part of the leaves. Fold lines and considerable wear. Good condition.
