Rare and most sacred! Pri HaAretz. First edition, Kopust 1814. With the 9 rare leaves. Copy of Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl.

Copy of rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl! Sefer Pri haAretz, an important, early Chassidic book. First edition, Kopust, 1814. With the nine leaves that do not appear in most copies. Extremely rare!

On the title page, a pencil notation ‘לר’ זוסיא’, which is the notation appearing in books from the estate of Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl and which were inherited by his son, Rabbi Meshulam Zussia of Chernobyl.

Written in the books they had inherited from their father is a notation indicating which son had received it – thus the notation ‘להר’ זוסיא’.

Almost all the copies that remained from this first important edition – Kopust 1814 – do not include the nine rare leaves containing letters by the Pri HaAretz. In the past, Tiferet auctioned a copy of the Kopust 1814 edition of Shulchan Aruch HaRav in which these nine rare leaves were bound. However, there are almost no copies of Pri HaAretz containing them.
