Book of innovations, Shnei Hame’orot, Kushta, 1749. The personal copy of the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Gershon of Kitov, the brother-in-law of Marana the Baa’l Shem Tov, who immigrated to Jerusalem.
Shnei Hame’orot, innovations on the words of the Rambam and the Ramban in Sefer Hamitzvot, by Rabbi Shneur Feivish ben Rabbi Menachem of Bolachov. Kushta [1749]. On the upper part of the title page, an ownership notation indicating the book was given to Rabbi Avraham Gershon Kitover. Part of the notation is missing. Its writer is unknown; possibly, it is the author and publisher himself, who lived in Jerusalem at the time that Rabbi Gershon Kitover lived there.
An additional Sephardic signature on the title page: "הצעיר שלמה חליגואה". His foreign name appears on the last leaf.
[1], 35 leaves. Stains. Moth signs, mainly to the margins. Tears and blemishes to several leaves, slightly affecting the text in several places. Non-professional restoration with tape to several leaves. Trimmed headings. New, elegant leather binding.
