The Holy Rav Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Elazar Yustman, the Admor of Piltz [1848-1921] author of Sefer ‘Siftei Tzaddik’ the son of the daughter of the Holy Rav author of Chidushei HaRim and the brother-in-law of the Sefas Emes of Gur. After the passing of his brother-in-law, the Sefas Emes, he opened his court in Piltz and was considered one of the greatest Admorim of Poland. Was admired by the Tzaddikim of his generation and many Chassidim used to come to his court. Was considered a wonder-worker, whose every utterance became true. Authored the deep books ‘Siftei Tzaddik’ on the Torah and Mo’adim and the holy, touching testaments full of Avodas Hashem and Chassidism. Among the Gur Chassidim he was considered a holy and exalted figure. He was the oldest Rav in Poland, in his time. Was involved in the matters of Kupat Rabbi Meir Ba’al HaNes, the Etrogim of the Holy Land, Chevras Machzikei HaDas in Poland, was one of the leaders of the "Petersburg Convention" and a great supporter of Agudas Yisroel.
