‘פרנסת עניין וחיי אלפים ורבבות נפשות מישראל בירושלים’ Important polemic letter with the handwritten signature of the holy Rav Rabbi Dovid Shlomo of Lelov writing to the Shadar Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Hacohen. 1901.

The entire letter deals with the polemic and negotiations between the Kollelim of Jerusalem, Prushim and Chassidim, Ashkenazim and Sephardim.

The Gabaim and leaders of the community write to the Shadar not to express his opinion and become involved in the controversy. They explain at length that the enduring dispute between the Prushim and the Chassidim does not influence the situation in Jerusalem at all and the dispute is between the Kollelim only.

The holy Rav Rabbi Dovid Shkomo Zvi blesses with the Gabaim of Jerusalem: ‘תקוותני להשי"ת כי לא יארכו הימים וישוב השלום לאיתנו והשי"ת יחדש עלינו ועל כל ישראל שנה טובה ומתוקה שנת ברכה ושלום שנת גאולה וישועה שלימה שנת בנין עיר הקודש על תילה’.

The letter is signed by him and then by the Gabaim Rabbi Eliezer Halperin, Rabbi Mordechai Avraham Shlank, Rabbi Shmuel Manny Segal, Rabbi Yosef Garfunkel and Rabbi Ze’ev Wolf Lipa of Stanislav.
