Sefer Divrei Chaim by the holy Rav of Sanz – section I on the Torah and section II on the Mo’adim and tractate Bava Metzi’ah. Pinchas Blaier Press, Munkatch 1877. First edition, published by "the author’s sons". Two sections in two volumes.
On the flyleaf, notations indicating the book had belonged to Rabbi Avraham Simcha Horowitz Av Beis Din of Barnov and the vicinity. Many additional notations by the Horowitz family. In addition, several foreign notations of Horowitz. On the title page, a later pencil notation ‘Belongs to Shlomo Zalman Auerbach’ [?]
The holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Simcha Horowitz Av Beis Din of Barnov [1846-1916] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Eliezer’l of Djikov. Was raised by his father and grandfather. Was a leading disciple of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, who would stand up in his honor and that of his forefather the holy Rav of Ropshitz. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1909 and served as the Rav of its Chassidim.
Section I: [2], 84 [5] leaves. Section II: [2], 72, 48 leaves. A separate title page for each section. The front flyleaf is professionally restored. Slight wear to the title page and several additional leaves; the rest of the leaves are in good condition. New, elegant binding. Good condition.
