Sefer Re’umah on HIlchos Shechita and Bedikah, authored by Rabbi Nachshon, the manuscript owned by Don Yosef Nassi, with an elucidation by Chacham rabbi Yitzchak Unkinira, elucidating the Rambam’s words. Single edition, Kushtantina, 1566.

Printed in Kushtantina in 1566, Complete copy with the handwritten signature of HaNesher HaGadol Rabbi Nosson Adler, the Rav of the Chasam Sofer.

The book is one of the rarest books on Hilchos Shechita and a complete copy was never auctioned. (An incomplete copy was auctioned once and only once).

Appearing on the title page is the notation: ‘זה הספר שייך להתורני המופלא כש"ת כהר"ר נתן במהר"ר שמעון אדלר כ"ץ ז"ל’. (This book belongs to Rabbi Nosson the son of Rabbi Shimon Adlert Katz).

The holy Gaon HaNesher HaGadol Rabbi Nosson Hacohen Adler [1742-1800] already as a child was renowned as gifted and a rare genius with a tendency to adopt customs of Kedusha and Prishus. Rabbeinu the Chida said that the verse "הנה נא ידעתי כי איש אלקים קדוש הוא עובר עלינו תמיד" refers to him. The leading Rav of Maran the Chasam Sofer, who titled him "החסיד שבכהונה". The Chasam Sofer also said of him that he was in the level of "ותחסרהו מעט מאלקים".

[31] leaves. Most of the leaves were not paginated in the printing. Some of the leaves are very dark. Aging stains. Some minor notations. New, fine and elegant semi-leather binding. Very good condition.
