On the inside and back binding – a gilt coat of arms of the French Pavée de Vendeuvre family with an illustration of a knight’s armor, a shield with peacocks and a Latin inscription of the sentence "hope shall continue to burn".
Ancient leather binding on wood with two metal latches. Stains. Good-very good condition.
