Two sections of Sefer Atetet Rosh and Ateret Tiferet, Amsterdam, 1766. The copy of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin and his son-in-law Rabbi Dov Zvi Hirsch of Krizburg. 


On the title page, a notation by Rabbi Chaim Berlin of Volozhin: ‘חנני אלוקים חיים בהרב מו"ה נצ"הירש ז"ל ברלין נ"י מוואלזין נכד רבינו הגרח"ו ז"ל’. His fill signature appears on the last leaf. 

In addition, a lengthy notation by his son-in-law, the Gaon Rabbi Dov Zvi Hirsch, Rav of Krizburg and Manchester, and eventually of Jerusalem, indicating that he received the book from his great father-in-law. Additional ownership stamps of Menachem Isaac Ralbag and Aryeh Leib Levin.

The renowned Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin (1832-1912) the eldest son of the Natziv of Volozhin and the great-grandson of Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin. The Rav of Volozhin, Moscow and Jerusalem and the Rosh Yeshiva of the Volozhin Yeshiva for a while and  one of the greatest Rabbis of his generation. He also served in Kobryn and Yelisavetgrad in Ukraine for a decade.
