Receipt for charity signed by the Kabbalist Rabbi Chaim Leib Auerbach, the Rosh Yeshiva of Sha’ar Hashamayim. Jerusalem, 1948. 

On the printed receipt, handwritten details were added by a scribe and the handwritten signature of Rabbi Chaim Leib Auerbach in pencil. 

Rabbi Chaim Leib Auerbach [1887-1954] the son of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Dov and a grandson of the family of the Toldos Yaakov Yosef of Polonne. A disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin and Rabbi Shimon Horowitz, with whom he established the Kabbalistic Sha’ar Hashamayim yeshiva. His son was the famed Posek Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. 

Receipt for the Sha’ar Hashamayim Yeshiva on the stationery of the Rabbeinu Chaim Yosef yeshiva. Av 1948. For a donation by means of Rabbi Shlomo Gotlieb.
