Damesek Eliezer, on Chamisha Chumshei Torah. A copy of the author the holy Gaon Rabbi Zussman Sofer of Paks, which he had given to the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shamloy, with glosses handwritten by the Rav of Shamloy.

On the title page, the Shamloyer Rov wrote: ‘ב"ה נתן לי במתנה מאת הרב הגאון המחבר שלמה זלמן עהרנרייך’. On the title page, the stamp of the holy Gaon of Paks: הק’ זוסמאן באאמו"ר מרדכי פישל סופר אבדק"ק פאקש. His stamp also appears on the title page of Sefer Shemot. 

Insude the book, many glosses respectfully discussing the author’s words [written after the passing of the Gaon of Paks]. 

The Gaon author Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer Av Beis Din of Paks (1825-1903), a holy Tzaddik, one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary. A disciple of Maran the Chasam Sofer, the Kesav Sofer and the Maharm Schick. The son-in-law and successor of the Gaon Rabbi Yoel Unger Av Beis Din of Paks.

The holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, Der Heiliger Shamloyer Rov [1863-1944] Av Beis Din of Shamloy. One of the greatest Poskim of his generation. Author of the Lechem Shlomo Shlomo and approx. forty additional composition. The grandson of the holy Gaon author of Kol Aryeh who raised him and taught him Torah. A leading disciple of the holy Rav author of Kedushas Yom Tov of Siget and a Chassid of his son the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar. Perished with his community during the Holocaust.

Separate title page for each Chumash. Some old and very brittle leaves with wear. One leaf was restored with tape and is slightly detached. Tears. New, elegant leather binding. Good condition.
