On the title page, the Shamloyer Rov wrote: ‘ב"ה נתן לי במתנה מאת הרב הגאון המחבר שלמה זלמן עהרנרייך’. On the title page, the stamp of the holy Gaon of Paks: הק’ זוסמאן באאמו"ר מרדכי פישל סופר אבדק"ק פאקש. His stamp also appears on the title page of Sefer Shemot.
Insude the book, many glosses respectfully discussing the author’s words [written after the passing of the Gaon of Paks].
The Gaon author Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer Av Beis Din of Paks (1825-1903), a holy Tzaddik, one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary. A disciple of Maran the Chasam Sofer, the Kesav Sofer and the Maharm Schick. The son-in-law and successor of the Gaon Rabbi Yoel Unger Av Beis Din of Paks.
