Volume of a manuscript, Sefer Ginzei Yosef handwritten by the author, the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Hacohen Schwartz, the Rav of the Machzikei Torah community of Grosswardein – Grosswardein, 1930

This volume contains copying of a halachic correspondence with the leading rabbis of his generation including his Gaon father Rabbi Naftali, Av Beis Din of Mad, author of Beit Naftali, his Gaon father-in-law Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch Av Beis Din of Bonyhad, author of Tevu’ot Hasadeh, and with his leading Rav the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Tenenbaum, author of Naharei Afarsemon. It also contains the responsa and novellae of the editor.

At the beginning of the volume, an illustrated title page handwritten by the author and editor. At its end, detailed indices of the content. On the flyleaves and the margins of the sheet, many notations handwritten by the author with many references.

On large parts of the volume (possibly on most of it) erasing lines were drawn, apparently to mark that the content was already printed. The book Ginzei Yosef was printed in its author’s lifetime in 1930.
