A leaf – two pages on which Maran the Chasam Sofer wrote a solution of the Maharsha’s words, discussing the Rishonim.
The leaf contains six passages of Torah innovations in their entirety and one partial, which he wrote in his youth when he was approx. 28 years old, in Prostitz where he was Rosh Yeshiva for the first time and where he started teaching Torah.
On the leaf, glosses handwritten by the Chasam Sofer himself and it is one of his first manuscripts.
Rare and very special!
Sheet of paper, written on both sides, 52 lines handwritten by the Chasam Sofer on Sugyot of tractate Shabbat, leaf 141.
Gedolei Hadorot considered manuscripts by him to be a Segulah for Yiras Shamayim and salvation in all matters.
Tzaddikim saw them as a Segulah to survive a fire.
The holy Gaon the Maharam Benet as well as the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel of Satmar said that just looking at a manuscript by the Chasam Sofer is a Segulah for Yiras Shamayim.
[1] sheet of paper, containing 2 pages. A single correction. Minor stains. Minor restoration to the wide margins. Elegant leather binding. Very good condition.
