[2], 87 leaves, 35 cm. With approbations by Rabbi Mordechai Bennett and the Chasam Sofer. With an ownership notation on the title page and several handwritten comments inside the book.

The Gaon Rabbi Daniel ben Rabbi Binyomin Wolf Prostitz – Rosh Beis Din of Pressburg. Was born in 1759 in Dobitshoy near Prostitz [Prosnitz], Moravia. Was a disciple of the Rav of Pressburg Rabbi Meir Barabi. Was the son-in-law of Rabbi Itzak of Lugas. Taught Torah to many and his disciples became famed Morei Hora’ah. Founded Chaburos for homeowners, and corresponded with the rabbis of his generation, including the Nodah BiYehuda. Was appointed a Dayan of the Beis Din of Rabbi Meshulam Igra in Pressburg. When the Chasam Sofer came to Pressburg to serve as its Rav, he became his close friend and the head of his Beis Din. In 1811, published the Sefer HaYashar LeRabbeinu Tam with the approbations by the Chasam Sofer and Rabbi Mordechai Bennett. Passed away in 1846, leaving innovations on the Shas and the Shulchan Aruch, sermons and eulogies, Shut and Aggadic innovations.

Blemished, semi-leather binding. The edges of the title page were cut. Stains. Some moth holes. fair condition.
