[20], 426 leaves. 30 cm. The title page is with a greenish background. On the leaf with the publisher’s foreword, there is a handwritten comment cut at its side.
This book is section I of approx. two hundred sermons and sayings for the Moadim from the Chasam Sofer’s writings, which were owned by his grandson Rabbi Shlomo Alexandri Sofer, with an addition of sermons and ma’amarim that were already published. The writings were edited and published, with an addition of an index of the verses and Mamarei Chazal, by Rabbi Alexandri Sofer’s son-in-law, Rabbi Yosef Naftali Stern.
Blemished binding, dismantled and detached. Some leaves are attached to the binding boards. [4] leaves at the beginning of the book and [4] leaves at its end are detached and with worn edges. The rest of the leaves are in good condition. Fair-good overall condition.
