Manuscript, work on Masechet Chulin handwritten by the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Schag-Tzwebner Av Beis Din of Koversdorf, author of Ohel Avraham and Drashot HaRosh, a leading disciple of the Chasam Sofer – Stalsdorf, 1843
Thirty two large pages handwritten by Rabbi Avraham Schag, most of them containing innovations on the first fifteen leaves of Masechet Chulin. The four last leaves are Ma’archot on varied Sugyot.
Written on the first leaf: "ב"ה מס’ חולין התחלתי בחורף שנת תר"ג לפ"ק". מתחת כותרת זו מספר שורות שחלקן מחוקות. בדף שלאחריו מופיעה שוב כותרת: "ב"ה שיל"ת [=שיויתי ה’ לנגדי תמיד] מס’ חולין, התחלתי תחילת שנת [ת]ר"ג לפ"ק".
Please refer to Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of Rabbi Avraham Schag-Tzwebner.
17 leaves (32 written pages). 36 cm. Good overall condition. Tape for reinforcement to most leaves. Small tears to two leaves, slightly affecting the text. New elegant leather binding.
