Nine pages handwritten by the Gaon of Papa Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman who immigrated to Jerusalem and was recognized as one of its Tzaddikim who merited seeing Eliyahu. Segulah for protection.

These Torah innovations were never published and are mainly on Sugyos of tractate Gittin and Shut – as written at its beginning, and on tractate Shabbat and more.

The pages were handwritten by him, dozens of dense lines per page and a total of hundreds of lines handwritten by him. On one leaf, stains of wax, possibly from a dripping candle.

The Holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman, Der Pápa Dayan [1843-1928], his rabbis said that he was a Kaddosh Merachem who was recognized by his holiness his entire life. He received his Semicha by his great Rav the Mahari Assad, serving as Rosh Yeshiva in his city of Serdahely. From 1882 until 1906 he served as Dayan and Moreh Tzeddek in Pápa and in 1906 immigrated to the Holy Land, living in Jerusalem and studying Torah in the Beis Midrash of the Basei Ungarin neighborhood. He used to sit all day with his Tefillin and write hundreds and thousands of leaves with Torah innovations, which were kept in the attic of the synagogue until disappearing from there. His great diligence and piety were wonderous. Gaon in Nigleh and Nistar. A modest man who merited seeing Eliyahu. A wonder-worker.

Once, one of the disciples of the Holy Rav Yehoshua Buxbaum Av Beis Din of Galanta asked: Did his holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Yosef the Dayan of Pápa have Ruach HaKodesh? and was answered: I have no knowledge of him having Ruach HaKodesh but I know for a fact that he saw Eliyahu HaNavih.
