Ketav Semicha and Heiter Hora’ah by the Gaon Author of Sefat Hayam Rabbi Yechiel Michl Wolfson, 1879.
Ketav Semicha and Heiter Yoreh Yoreh Yadin, handwritten and signed by the great Gaon, one of the leading rabbis of Lithuania in his days, the author of Sefat Hayam Rabbi Yechiel Michl Wolfson. Given in 1879 to the Gaon Rabbi Sheraga Meir ben Rabbi Reuven Zvi of Kelem.
The Semicha document is written in poetic language, praising its receiver.
Rabbi Yechiel Michl Wolfson [1848-1900] was the son-in-law of Gaon Av Beis Din of Minsk and Rav of Seltz, Poritsh and Yenishk. Was a leading disicple of the Beis Halevi of Brsik, who wrote an important approbation for his book Sefat Hayam, alongside the Malbim, who also wrote an enthusiastic approbation for the book.
