Rare! Rabbinic and Hora’ah Semicha, handwritten entirely by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach and with his handwritten signature. Jerusalem, 1965.
Rare and uncommon, Semicha documents written and given by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach as Amud Hora’ah and Posek hador.
This rare and special Semicha document he gave to his beloved disciple Rabbi David Zvi Mertzbach, the son of the great Gaon Rabbi Yonah Mertzbach, the Rosh Yeshiva of Kol Torah and previously the Rav of Hermannstadt and a leading Hungarian rabbi.

The great Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach (1910-1995), leading Posek Hora’ah. The Rosh Yeshiva of the Kol Torah Yeshiva for more than 40 years. Was famed for his modesty, gentleness and kindness, and as one of the greatest Poskei Hador of his generation and as a religious authority on halachic, medicinal, scientific and technological matters.
