The commentary of Baal Haturim on the Torah, with references and elucidations by Rabbi Yaakov Reinitz, Bnei Berak 1971. With approx. 150 genius glosses handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, some of them lengthy glosses and others, important additions and references.
His glosses indicate his genius and vast knowledge. For example, he notes: ‘ציון זה טעות וצריך לכתוב ב"ר רפי"ד’.
In addition, he corrects and omits superfluous lines, adds numerous references and comments referring to his boo Si’ach Hasadeh.
On the flyleaf, three lengthy comments handwritten by him. All places he had proofread are marked with a late sticker and in one place, he put a bookmark with a gloss handwritten by him.
Ownership stamps of his son the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Kanievsky, in his father’s home after his marriage. An ownership notation handwritten by him.
Approx. 140 glosses handwritten by him.
A bookmark with an additional gloss handwritten by him on it. Minor moth perforations. Slightly detached binding. Good condition.
