Manuscript by the Holy Rav Rabbi Meshulam Feivish of Zbarazh, author of Yosher Divrei Emet – two pages, copying from Sefer Etz Chaim Sha’ar HaAkudim – copied during the years 1765-1769
This is leaf 39 of a manuscript by the holy Rav Rabbi Meshulam Feivish of Zbarazh. Copied on the leaf are chapters 4-5 of Sha’ar HaAkudim of Sefer Etz Chaim (which then was not yet published, before 1782).
At the end of volume with the copying of the Etz Chaim, in a leaf bot included here, the holy Rav wrote and signed: "כ"ד הכותב הק’ משולם פייבוש בלא"א המנוח מו’ אהרן משה הלוי זלה"ה מבראטשין ז"ל".
The holy Rav Rabbi Meshulam Feivish of Zbarazh [ca. 1740-1795], one of the greatest disciples of the great Maggid of Mezeritch and Tzaddikei Olam the Holy Rav Rabbi Meir of Premislan, the Holy Rav Rabbi Michl of Zlotshov. The Holy Rav Rabbi Chaim of Chernowitz author of ‘Be’er Mayim Chaim’ was one of his closest friends and refers to him many times in his holy books.
Sefer Yosher Divrei Emet is one of the most important Chassidic books and one of the first of them and constitutes a basic Chassidic book for all generations.
