Manuscript,   from the Torah of the Yitav Lev of Siget and the Maharam Schick and addiitonal HUngarian rabbis – sermons and halachic and Aggadic innovations on the Parashiyos and Moadim written by their disicple Rabbi Azriel Fried of Chust – Chust, 1866-1872

This volume contains sermons and innovations on the Parashiyos of the Torah heard by the writer Rabbi Azriel ben Rabbi Yaakov Note Fried of Chust from his leading rabbis. The volume is divided into two sections. The first (up to leaf 40) contains innovations on the Parashiyos he heard from his rabbis including the Yitav Lev of Siget, the Maharam Schick, Rabbi Yaakov Yechezkiya Greenwald, Rabbi Mordechai Halevi Horowitz, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Charif Heller, Rabbi Chaim Weinberger and more. The second section contains additional innovations on the Parashiyos, without mentioning who said them. Apparently, these innovations are by the writer himself.

The innovations by the Maharam Schick in this manuscript were printed in the book Maharam Schick Hsshalem al HaTorah (Jerusalem, 1992); however, the innovations of the Yitav Lev appearing here were apparently never published (except for the Drush on Parashas Toldot whose content was printed in Sefer Yitav Lev, yet in a completely different style).

According to the title page of the volume, it was written in 1866 yet the foreword is dated 1867 and inside the volume there are sermons that were said in 1871 and 1872.

[3], 83, 14 leaves (200 written pages). 19 cm. Very good condition. The first four leaves are restored, slightly affecting the text. The rest of the volume is in excellent condition, bound with an elegant leather binding.
