Chassidic book, rare and pedigreed copy! Igeret Hakodesh by Baal Hatanya, Lemberg 1860. Copy of the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo of Sadigura (the First) and his grandson, the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo of Chortekov
Igeret Hakodesh, printed separately in Lemberg 1860, in the same year that the entire Tanya was published, yet, as stated, it was published separately.
On the title page, the stamp of Rabbi Shlomo the First and the stamp of his grandson, his daughter’s son, Rabbi Shlomo of Chortekov. On the back flyleaf, the stamp of the Divrei Shlomo appears again.
The Holy Rav Rabbi Shlomen’yu of Sadigura, [1844-1881], married the daughter of the Holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Rimnov, who was engaged to his brother the Holy Rav Rabbi Asher who passed away after their engagement, and in his second marriage he married the daughter of his uncle the Holy Rav Rabbi David Halperin son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi of Ruzhin. His daughters married the righteous and holy Rabbi Nachum Mordechai of Chortkov and the Holy Rabbi Yisroel of Boyan-Leipzig.
The Holy Admor Rabbi Shlomo’nyu of Chortekov (1894-1959) The last Rebbe of the beautiful Chortkov dynasty. Son of the Holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Mordechai of Chortkov, and son-in-law of his uncle the Holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Sadigura. During World War I, he moved with his father to Vienna. In 1934 he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and settled in Tel Aviv. After his father’s passing, in 1946, he succeeded him has Admor of Chortkov. Was recognized as one of the noble of Ruzhyn. His Beis Midrash on Achad Haam Street attracted all those thirsting Chassidut, Torah and fear of Heaven through royalty and nobility that silently reigned there. His Divrei Torah was printed in Sefer Divrei Shlomo.
