On one of the pages of the sheet, it was written: "אני הכותב ארקה המעתיק ספר הזה". The second sheet (in blue ink) was written by one of Rabbi Aharon’s nephews (or uncles). One of the pages refers to בן אחי הצדיק מו"ה ארקע ז"ל".
The Gaon Rabbi Aharon Carol-Lasker ben Rabbi Aryeh Yehuda (1857-1919) was an important Talmid Chacham and Chassid in Lodz. Even during World War I, when the fighting took place near Lodz and no one could enter or leave the city and its residents suffered hunger and poverty, Rabbi Aharon did not stop studying the Torah day and night (Ir Lask Vechachameha, p. 77). After his passing, his innovations were published in his book Torat Aharon (Piotrkow, 1924) on Chumash Bershit and Shemot.
