The heads of the Slonim Chassidim Committee of Eretz Yisroel in a demand to the Knesset Members of Agudas Yisroel to receive their share of the designated money. 1983.
The heads of the Slonim Chassidim Committee and the activists Rabbi Shmaya Luria, one of the heads of Beis Yaakov and Agudas Yisroel Center, Rabbi Shmuel Weinberg the CEO of Independent Education, Rabbi David Weinberg the manager of the yeshiva and the sons of the holy Rav the Birkas Avraham of Slonim, in an appeal and request from Knesset members Rabi Avraham Yosef Shapiro, Rabbi Menachem Porush, Rabbi Shlomo Lorentz and Rabbi Shmuel Shmelke Halpert, to give the Slonim Chassidim and institutions the designated funds allocated to them by the coalition agreements.
In those years, these funds were at the heart of the internal struggle among the members of Agudas Yisroel, a struggle that eventually tore Agudas Split apart with the establishment of Shas and Degel HaTorah.
During the dispute with Degel HaTorah, the Slonim Chassidut and its leaders, headed by the Netivos Sholom, did not actively support Agudas Yisroel. Possibly, this document, with its direct and implied claims about discrimination, contains the underlying reasons for their inactivity.
