[1] leaf, [28] lines. In Hebrew, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Hacohen Rubin and [2] lines in Yiddish by his wife the Rebbetzin Alta Rubin. The letter was written on a printed coupon in Hungarian. At the beginning of the letter, the writer asks about the state of affairs of the war between the nations and the Ottoman Empire and the effect of the war on the family members in Eretz Yisroel.
Rabbi Yosef Chaim Hacohen Rubin of Samator (1868-1944) by his second marriage was the son-in-law of Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein Av Beis Din of Kolomyia, the son-in-law of Rabbi Yechiel Schlesinger of Pressburg. In this letter, he appeals to Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger with the title "uncle and brother-in-law".
