Important documents pertaining to the struggle over the pool in Jerusalem.
The documents include a train ticket for the special ride to the demonstration, the prayers at the demonstration, Pashkevil – protest note, outline for decisions to be made, and a draft of a broadside signed by the Dayanim of the beis Din of the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank against the pool that allowed the swimming of men and women together in Jerusalem.
The struggle over the opening of the pool was one of the high-profile struggles in Jerusalem. Council member Rabbi Menachem Porush was responsible for its publicity.
The items include among others, the printed Seder Tefillah and locations of the prayer services. A train ticket to the demonstration that took place on the 16th of Sivan 1958 and more.
The Dayanim who signed their initials on the letter are Rabbi Sheraga Feibel Frank and Rabbi Avraham Dov Rosenthal.
In addition, there are textual variations and additions to the original letter.
The stamp of the Beis Din appears on the document.
