Semicha letter by the Gaon Rabbi Chanoch Heinich Fischer Av Beis Din of Makova, 1867.
"…מדותיו כנטיעים מגודלים בנעורים בל ימוטו פעמים, לכך אף ידי תכון לקשר צדקתו בקהל עם, ולהרים קרנו בכבוד, לקרוא לו שם לכל דבר שבקדש בשם: החבר רבי משה בן החבר רבי יהודא… פה מאקא ביום ה’ כ"ה תשרי תרכ"ח לפ"ק". The letter is handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Chanoch Heinich Fischer, Rav of Makova (Makó, Hungary), with his signature and wax seal. Makova [1867].
The Gaon Rabbi Chanoch Heinich ben Rabbi Yaakov Fischer (1826-1896) was born in Eszék and studied at the Yeshiva of Maran the Ketav Sofer in Pressburg, and a disciple of the great Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Benet of Nitra, and Rabbi Leib HaLevi Galoga-Schlesinger of Prague. Served as Rav in Donna-Fuldwar in Hungary for 12 years, from 1852-1864, then until his passing, succeeded the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalmen Ulman author of Yeriut Shlomo as Rav in Makova.

Aging stains. Small tears along the fold line, taped on verso of the upper part of this leaf. Fair – good condition.
