Kol Koreh (calling voice) signed by the Geonim Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Halevi Herzog and Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Chai Uziel, the Chief Rabbis of Eretz Yisroel, with a request and warning regarding the orderly registration of marriage at the rabbinate. 1940.

The rabbis appeal to all the rabbinical offices of Eretz Yisroel with several requests to prevent problems with registration of marriages, which might cause even greater problems of pedigree and Taharat Hamishpacha.

The rabbis request that marriages be registered at the town of the Mesader Kiddushin or that the couple bring confirmation from a Rav who knows them personally and attests to their personal status, origin, etc.

Every Rav is asked to give a marriage certificate only if he personally saw the Kiddushin.

In addition, the registry should be done at least 8 days before the wedding itself.

The letter is typewritten, mimeographed and hand-signed by both Chief Rabbis, Rabbi Herzog and the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Uziel, and with the stamp of the Chief Rabbinate.

[2] leaves, official stationery of the Chief Rabbinate of Eretz Yisroel. Fold lines and considerable tears due to wear. Stains. Fair-good condition.
