Fine lengthy letter by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Reines, the Rav of Lida and Rosh Yeshiva there, to the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Elyoshiv, the Rav of Homel – the son-in-law of Maran Baal Haleshem and father of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Sholom Elyoshiv.
In the letter that was sent in 1909, Rabbi Reines praises his yeshiva, which was established in recent years and asks for its support.
[1] official stationery of the Yeshiva of Lida, Vilna Shire. Typewritten. Bearing the date Sivan 1909. With the handwritten signature of Rabbi Reines. Fold lines and many aging stains. Good condition.
