Lengthy important letter sent by the Gaon Rabbi Shabtai Yogel, member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, the Rosh Yeshiva of Slonim, in the month of the passing of the Chazon Ish and Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer.
The letter was sent to his son Rabbi Peretz Yogel and his family and is of a personal, familial nature, with blessings for naches. He also described the material situation of the Yeshiva of Ramat Gan, which was managed by his son the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yogel.
The Gaon Rabbi Shabtai Yogel describes his poor health and then, painfully describes the passing of the Two great Meorot.
מרן החזון איש – בהלקח מכלל ישראל בכלל ומהמקורבים בפרט – גאון עוזנו פלא יחיד בדורות מרן החזו"א זצוק"ל היה מיוחד במינו, אשר כל הסימנים שחושב רבי מאיר בעוסק בתורה לשמה, ראינו בו – איש לא נפקד.
המכה הגדולה הזאת דכאה את רוחנו, ושוב לא הספקנו להתאושש קצת לנקות את השבר, בהלקח פתאום ממש עטרת ראשי הישיבות ואביר הרועים מרן הגרא"ז זצוק"ל,
