Letter by Rabbi Yitzchak Gerstenkorn to the Rav of Bnei Berak, Rabbi Yaakov Landau – with a description of an Hitava’adus with the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
In the letter that was sent in 1953, Rabbi Gerstenkorn, the founder of Bnei Berak and its first mayor, describes a meeting with the Lubavitcher Rebbe during which they discussed the establishment of a Chabad Yeshiva in Bnei Berak and the completion of the building of Rabbi Landau’s synagogue on Yeshayau St.
